Butternut was created by�Napa power-duo Orin Swift's Dave Phinney and Whitehall Lane's Tony Leonardini. The Butternut brand was thoughtfully made after an "experiment" with 5 barrels from the Orin Swift cellar to create the perfect Chardonnay, "your Mother's Chardonnay". It was beautiful, buttery, oaked but they didn't have a name for it. It was Tony Leonardini's wife who walked in with a box of freshly harvested butternut squash in the California sun and a light went off and�Butternut was born.Butternut wines�are the perfect affordable, any day of�the week�wines!Aromatics of peach, hazelnut and spiced candied apple. The palate is a luxurious with a blend of fig, butterscotch and oak along with a refreshing finish. 100% new French oak to create a buttery and irresistible Chardonnay.
