Crotin's La Martina features Barbera grown naturally in the Asti district of Piemonte. It is petite, feisty, and full of energy. This wonderful Barbera has zesty acidity, excellent depth and concentration on the palate, and is reminiscent of raspberry jam and wild woodland currants. This is one of those wines that vanishes from your glass before you realise it. It's beautifully woven and wonderfully delightful.Ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose manifests intense and complex fruity aromas of cherry, raspberry, blackberry and black cherry, followed by dried purple flowers and notes of licorice. On the palate it is full bodied and fresh.
