As a farm lad, Canada had been the land of Joe Giusti�s dreams of opportunity.� He traveled to Vancouver with $20 in his pocket when he was 17 years old, in 1973.� Over the next 40 years, his success in the construction business snowballed into what is now private ownership of a group of construction companies in western Canada employing over 800 people.��Giusti returned regularly to his native land and 2002 saw the beginning of his serious investment in the wine industry using funds from his Canadian ventures.�Giusti is currently the single greatest private vineyard landowner in the Prosecco area, with one foot in Canada and the other in Veneto, and it all began only 20 years ago when he purchased his first two hectares of vines.
